Advanced Qashqai 360 unveiled after Nissan's record-breaking year
NISSAN has restyled the latest version of its hugely popular Qashqai and packed it full of gadgets and technology. The appropriately named Nissan Qashqai 360 now has a panoramic sun roof and an Around View Monitor system, enabling drivers to see all around their car from four strategically placed cameras to make parking a breeze.
It is possible to drive the Qashqai from Land?s End to John O?Groats on one tank of fuel. Going on sale across Europe this month, and in the UK now, it will replace the current n-tec+ specification and will include part-leather seats, doortrims and armrests, gloss black roof rails and restyled mirror caps.
The television advertising campaign will kick off tomorrow, when the UK can expect to be bombarded with adverts dramatising the relationship between the car and the urban environment.
It comes after Nissan revealed yesterday it had achieved a personal record ? selling 105,835 cars in 2012 - increasing its market share to 5.2 per cent from four per cent the previous year.
Jim Wright, Managing Director at Nissan GB said: "Despite an increasingly competitive market, 2012 was a record year for Nissan - and that's something to be incredibly proud of. The Qashqai continues to be a runaway success, showing that we build exactly the right cars for our customers: cars that are innovative, exciting and for everyone."

Previous adverts have focussed on the Qashqai dodging paint ball attacks, falling scaffolding and 'mischievous graffiti'. Nissan aim to target yuppies by revealing adverts that 'open up the city' with its advanced technology.
The current n-tec+ model of the £20,000 car is the sixth bestselling car in the UK but has done little to dent Land Rover's ambitions as it cleverly targets a completely different buyer.
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September last year, it comes with various engine and gearbox options.
"Our manufacturing story is just as remarkable, with Nissan's Sunderland production facility surging through the 500,000 unit barrier in 2012. We look forward to building on this success in 2013 with many more new models, including the replacement for the Note. We intend to keep breaking records and over the next few years I anticipate many more will fall."
