Few cars come with a top speed of 179mph while having room for four. Based on today's standards, the fuel efficiency is poor but for such a fast car, it is surprisingly fair with a combined MPG of 25.9 - meaning it is cheaper to run than some of its competitors.
With automatic transmission and a seven-speed gearbox, the carefully crafted V8 engine will propel you, your friends and your family to places faster than the hybrid version, which is £3,893 cheaper, has an eight-speed gearbox and a much higher combined fuel economy of 41.5mpg. The only advantage of the GTS 4-door over the S Hybrid 4-door is 12mph additional speed and a faster acceleration rate: achieving 62mph in 4.5 seconds compared to six seconds in the V6 Hybrid.
So unless you are going to reach top speed on a race track regularly, we recommend you choose the £87,346 S Hybrid 4-door.
